Round Up of Everything

Hi readers. It’s been a long time since I wrote on the N & T blog, and now I’m back with my 2nd blog. Actually, it’s my 3rd blog; I had written the 2nd one during the month of December last year, and it was something related to the pressure of exams and all that boring stuff. But I fell very happy that Nitesh has given me another opportunity to bring out one of the flaws in this so-very-successful blog. [ Ghanta opportunity! Bola nah, koi bhi likh sakta hain 😛 – Nitesh ]

As everybody knows, the other half of this blog Tushar, has been silent for a very significant time now. He has virtually stopped writing for his own creation, and not only that, he discourages others to write for the blog too. And let me tell you, he is the reason why me second blog didn’t surface on the site. I had given my article to him for putting it up. But believe it or not, he didn’t put it up because I had rambled on about him studying on till 5.30 in the morning, and that too for just a 30 marks Economics UT!!

So I would recommend the readers that if they really want some work of theirs to come up on this beautiful blog, then just contact Padhi @ Master Blogger. And no, I’m not saying this just to promote Padhi, but to clarify that someone out there has lost both the interest and courage to make this blog, for the people and by the people.

Now, enough of the introductions and clarifications. Coming to the point, I have written this blog to round up the latest happenings in the school after the start of the new session. And ohh, something before even that too. I mean, we really need an article like this to appreciate the new-found talent, or I should say TALENTS in the field of literature, and I mean romantic fiction. On the behalf of the countless people who have read Lakshay Arora’s ‘The Story of a Nincompoop’ and Nitesh’s ‘The Story of a Teenager’, I would like to say only one thing to these two people – “You two are Awesome! :D”

Now, the latest news if I may. ‘Is Mahine ke taaza khabre’ and all that. Abhimanyu, Prahlad, Dhruv and I guess Shravan have qualified for the semis in the interhouse cricket matches. News is that the football matches are also being scheduled before the end of the month along with the basketball matches.

Time for some future predictions. This time, if you look at Siddharth house’s football team, I bet your reaction will be the same as mine. “Yeh toh had ho gayi. Puri school team hi leke behte hua hain.” Yes, they look virtually impossible to beat. Our own Padhi is at their helm, along with some great players like Anurag ( I mean Golu ), Uday, Deepanshu, and many others who can be regarded as actual PLAYERS, something which cannot be said for the other houses. And according to me, the next best team is Abhimanyu. Yaar, unke paas Saurav Baisoya, Lakshay Arora, Arjun etc etc hain. A match between these two teams will be like a battle between the Titans and the Gods.

Coming to predictions about Basketball matches, then surely Laxmibai is on top with Lakshay Khurana and Puneet Jain. Out of 5 players, 2 or 3 are of the school team. Aur kyaa chahiye unhe? They should surely be the winners this time, warna unka katta!

So there’s another news that’s going to make some jaws drop (intended mostly for the 11th and 12thies). The 12thies are going to have a trip to Moint Abu in the summer vacas. Isn’t that just great?! But close yours jaws again, as details aren’t out yet. And guess what? Our very own new batch of Prefects have decided and talked to school authorities about this trip. Chalo, humaare prefect dost kuch kaam toh aaye!

Also apparently, the 12th Commerce section got to see a movie in the second half this Friday. But no need to envy them, as it was some sort of educational movie on the school premises itself, and they were accompanied by VICE PRINCIPAL MA’AM! So you can now guess for yourself that it wasn’t exactly a fun time for them.

Okay, now the time’s up along with my pen’s refill, o I’ve to half for now. Abhi ke liye bohot bakwaas kar li maine, agli baar phir waapis aunga aur bakwaas ke saath, tab tak ke liye, see ya!

P.S. why do I get the feeling that Tushar is going to kill me after Nitesh puts this article up??? :O 😀 XD

How we are going to miss the present 12th ka batch….

So, it’s the last countdown to the farewell, with the date being less than a week off. The 12th’ies have finished off their school life, and it’s a countdown to the end for them. The boards, college life and all beckons, but somehow you just can’t leave behind all the little things that made growing-up years so damn fun….

This isn’t just going to be another blog from me, it’s going to get a bit emotional, or weird in some people’s books. So please, do bear with me, and tell the world how much you’re going to miss the batch of 2012.

School years are the formative years of any person’s life. Not formative as in the CCE kind of understanding, but it’s just that they are a true reflection of how you’re going to live the rest of your life. Leaving aside the academic portion for which a school is known, there are a lot of things in a daily school which may have seemed minor at the time, but you’ll treasure it like mad when you pass out. Imagine yourself in college, with no chance of the daily tiffin-looting, the ecstasy of having a substitution, gathering at the water point; these are all instances that a pass-out will miss, and will find it hard to believe that they can’t do all that again. No matter how experienced we may be, everyone wants to live out his school-life again given the opportunity, and this loss isn’t something taken easily.

Friends are an integral part of your building-up process, and it would be hard to imagine yourself without them. This present batch won’t ever be together fully again, and will only meet in groups, never all in one place. And while you would always enjoy yourselves within that small gang of yours, you would find it hard to imagine yourself without the others in your class- the jokers, the pranksters, the dancers, the singers, and the other-talented. There was that certain charm to the proceedings, the diversity of a classroom and everything it stood for, and everything it was made out to be by the clowns of the class…

I won’t name anyone out here for fear of pissing off the others, but there are some gems in this batch. Everyone is unique in his or her own way, and we’re going to miss all of them. School will just seem a bit barren without them, no doubt about that, and we’ll always remember them. Remember, you’re not just passing on into oblivion, the memories we had with you will be treasured forever, and people will remember you by your actions.

School life ends sometime or the other, and it’s really hard to imagine yourself out there in that big bad world. But while pondering about your future, there’s always the little glance-back at your past, and the memories it holds. You remember instances, occurrences, and you just wonder…. what if? What if school life goes on, in this same shell that we’re living in? What if some things never change, remaining constant over time?

But if that were so, would you have the memories to preserve? Would you be able to look back at that time and feel proud of yourselves for having done something? Would you enjoy the timeless bond that grew over 14 years of school-life?

Once someone passes out, they will be free, no doubt about that. But they’ll also live in the past, and live for the moments that were. The only thing to do is to keep those memories in your heart, remember the times that were, and move on. The world will remember you for it, starting with the small sphere of GBS.

Bon Voyage 🙂

Welcome to our blog guys

Hiee guys, welcome to our new site. We set this up on the pretext of really communicating with you guys, and lets just hope this relationship continues.

Let’s hope that this site could be a break from your moribund school life, and that people actually flock here. We’re gonna be writing on things people can actually relate to. If you find us boring, who cares? A mark of a good blogger is about speaking their hearts out, and there’s gonna be a lot of hearts spoken out loud here 😀

We’ll be posting any and all things we like on here, and just HAVE to be shared with you guys. So don’t blame me afterwards, I gave you fair warning ! This won’t exactly be a personal diary of a blogger’s thoughts, but will be things that all GBS’ ites at least can relate to. So please feel free to comment on us, and if you think it’s a shit idea, no one cares about who you are!

Now that all that’s done, a real welcome to you guys. Hoping to interact a lot more frequently with people on here, and make a couple of great friends along the way. A lot of people must be feeling pretty down and out nowadays, disappointed with the way things have been going. I’ve been pretty down myself lately, and you just feel it within your friend circle that something’s wrong. The load has been getting on everyone’s nerves, but it would be best for people to just calm down. What’s the use of getting so worked up over things you have no control upon?

For instance, and it’s a bloody short instance at that, look at me. I was pathetic in the exams, but I’ve realised the mistakes I made, and God knows, I’m working hard to change all that. It’s reflecting on everyone, I think, and people are starting to realise the same. My friend circle like Tushar, Arjun, Vibhor, Arpit et all have seen me studying a tad bit more than usual, and honestly, it’s a fresh change.

So that’s about it for now. I started to ramble a bit in between, but I’m hoping that you guys will forgive me, and will let me off with only a bit of your idiotic mocking on Tuesday. Till then, take care if you can, and keep that bloody chin up!
